In May 2019, scientists shifted the mass of the kilogram toward mathematical precision instead of a physical weight. This was a both breakthrough for scientific understanding AND a complete disaster for a first date between Lucia and Darrow. With Lucia’s astrophysics research thrown into turmoil and her immigration hearing imminent, Lucia must decide if she can take a leap of faith and trust Darrow's creative instincts as he tries to keep her in the country. THE WEIGHT OF EVERYTHING WE KNOW had its world premiere at Theatre Raleigh, where it had sold out houses and lovely reviews. It also placed as a semifinalist in ScreenCraft's 2024 Stage Play Competition, ranked 13th among more than 600 scripts in a national contest. WEIGHT was also recognized among The Best of What We Saw productions by the Cultural Voice of North Carolina.
